Temperatures were warm and dry throughout the Southern Region last week, almost no rain fell in the entire Region. This resulted in one-class degradations throughout the Region, although the most widespread degradations occurred in Southeast Texas. Additionally, isolated two-class degradations were identified in Wilson and Atascosa counties of South Texas. Overall, these degradations led to an 8% increase in drought across the Southern Region.
